Communication Continuance Service
What it is:
A service for providing inbound call handling in the event a company loses its normal phone connection due to disaster or other unforeseen events.
How it works:
Dalcon maintains a phone number answering and call handling facility in Nashville, TN. Clients are provided a phone number which is always ready to accept calls on a backup basis.
In the event of a disaster and the loss of phone service to your office, calls are routed to your backup phone number where they are handled by Dalcon’s Communications Continuation Service rather than your callers receiving no answer.
What It Does:
• Advises callers via an auto-attendant message they have reached a back-up phone call handling service due to an interruption of service at your location;
• Forwards calls to one or more numbers, such as cell or satellite phones, specified by you;
• Takes messages via a voicemail system when calls forwarded to other numbers are not answered, you may access from any working phone;
• Emails messages containing sound attachments to your designated email address allowing you to retrieve messages via an Internet connection;
• Provides multiple choices of departments or people to appropriately route calls to and/or take a voicemail message for forwarding;
• Provides custom messages for callers such as employees to access emergency information;
• Receives inbound faxes via second phone line, converts to PDF and emails them to designated email address for retrieval via an Internet connection.
Dalcon’s CCS Includes:
• Two phone numbers/lines;
• User defined call routing on up to five extensions;
• Custom, personalized menu options; one for employees and one for customers;
• Custom emergency message which is changeable for the given situation;
• Ability to handle simultaneous calls;
• Unlimited number of calls handled;
• Voicemail messaging with dial-in retrieval;
• Email of voicemail messages (sound files) to a specified email address;
• Bundled pricing, including 500 “redirected outbound” long-distance minutes per term.
Satellite Phone:
Various plans are available where you are provided a satellite phone that can be used to place or receive calls at any time. Incoming calls to Dalcon’s Communication Continuance System may be forwarded to this phone and voicemail messages left may be retrieved using this phone.
